I'm looking for a bracelet to serve as an expression & reminder of the process that healing can be- emotionally & physically & spiritually No bouncing back, no going to back to who you were, but a deep contentment with now, an acceptance of the change that has happened and a reminder to be patient and gentle and open.

So yeah.  A bracelet to embody that.  :)

I have a ring that does this for me, and reminds me to be patient.  It has a crucifix on it, set in such a way so that I see it every time I look down at my hand.  These are not made anymore, but I found mine on ebay.  I wear it on my forefinger, as the designer did, so it's quite easy to see.

Could you maybe make yourself one and meditate on your journey forward while making it? That association of your goals and dreams with the physical symbol could be really helpful. Good old fashioned friendship bracelets/macrame or the more modern incarnations using parachute cord would be my suggestion :)

I would also browse Etsy for ideas and have something personal made up.

I like the idea of a ring for this as you can have something personal engraved on the inside. You might be able to do the same with certain bracelet/bangles? I'm not sure if you're religious but there are lots of examples of Hebrew-engraved rings online, and some examples of bracelets. (I'm not religious but was looking for a ring with a Hebrew phrase "This too shall pass" on it and found engraved items to be quite widely available.) That might give you somewhere to start.

Pandora-style is cool because you can choose charms to represent the changes, people you love, etc.

OP here.... I found this http://recoverybracelet.com/product/the-original-with-sterling-silver-clasp/ and really like it- although the color palatte is not my taste, nor the gloss finish...but the symbolism is beautiful!    I may contact the artist to see if she could create a more muted, neutral toned version for me.  (OR if there are any jewelry makers here who have an etsy store, let me know :)   But thought I'd pass it on in case anyone else is interested.....

I am a person of deep, living faith, so incorporating that is also important.

Thanks for suggestions!
