alisoncooks
I'm overwhelmed by the task of searching for short, kid-friendly videos about the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Do you have any favorites? I'm looking for "fun" videos, more edutainment than serious history, to add to our CHOW reading for next year. Artists, music, historical figures/biographies? Or...do you have a favorite Youtube channel that you turn to for these sorts of videos?
TheAttachedMama
I assume you have watched the horrible history videos? Sort of like Monty Python meets story of the world? ;) We love those. Ms.Ivy
We really liked the Tales from the Green Valley, but your kids might be a bit young for it yet. The episodes are not short either but we loved it so much I just had to mention it. Edited June 10, 2016 by Ms.Ivy

waa510
I have Youtube video lists that correspond with Human Odyssey...like 80 or so videos. Search Human Odyssey Volume 2 Renaissance (for Renaissance videos..I have lists 1-3 going from Renaissance times to 1914..not done yet on those) and Human Odyssey 2 (This for middles ages time period) and it should pop up. You can pm me for a link, if you need to. I'm still finishing the Renaissance book..I'm about 3/4 of the way through. luuknam
My kids like these (though we've pretty much only listened to the ones from the BC era so far): https://www.youtube.com/user/historyteachers/videos You're going to have to sort out on your own which ones are about the middle ages. alisoncooks
Thanks for all the great links! These are great starting points! My kids are at camp all next week, so my plan is to get our history plans squared away. :)
