PeachyDoodle
My friend lost a loved one very unexpectedly. She needs to travel to the funeral several states away and will be driving alone (14-15 hours one way). A few of us are putting together a gift basket of things for her to take along to hopefully make her trip more comfortable. Any suggestions? ETA: We will also be providing meals for her husband and children, who will stay home, so these things are just for her.

prairiewindmomma
snacks, iTunes card, gas card Trying to find specific restaurants to use a restaurant gift card can be challenging. A 14-15 hour drive is something I regularly do in a day; I don't have time for a sit down restaurant when I am doing a long drive.

ThisIsTheDay
HEALTHY snacks, such as fresh fruit and nuts. Healthy drinks, Vitamin Water, coconut water, etc. If it were me, I would love a mixed music CD for those dead spots, and a gift card to something like Taco Bell. Also--if you run out of ideas, perhaps some things she can use when she's at her destination? Walmart or grocery store card?
PeachyDoodle
Thanks... My friend already made her trip, and she was VERY moved by the basket we put together. I think it helped to make an otherwise terrible time a little more bearable for her.
