Blossom'sGirl
just wondering because Homeschool Tracker Plus doesn't put it in and I don't want to type it all up just to have it.
cbollin
I just looked at my dd (the one in college) transcript. We use a state approved cover school. There is no gender on that transcript. She was admitted to both places she applied and got good scholarships.
EKS
Because the one I was copying had it on it?
JanetC
i wouldn't worry about it. They usually ask on the application somewhere. Even if there is s very unusual name, the reader can infer based on whether the letter of recommendation uses he or she pronouns.
J-rap
I'd guess it's just for record-keeping purposes, but not required??
Lanny
Possibly because there are special policies in certain fields (STEM) to encourage females to enroll? One example is the attempt to get more females to consider an Engineering degree. Preferences may not be the correct word,
Mom22ns
I didn't put gender on either of my kids transcripts. It was on the college applications.
MerryAtHope
Did the school say it needs to be on there? I didn't put it on my son's and don't plan to on my dd's, though their names are fairly obvious anyway...
Blossom'sGirl
The school did not specifically ask for gender, but it was on generic samples I found online. I also stumbled across a website declaring that not listing gender as one of the big "mistakes" that homeschoolers make on their transcripts. After all that, the admissions counselor didn't even ask for it while we were there. But I am very glad it put a fire under me and got it going.
