maize
Answer: impossible. Someone didn't proofread their question.

kiana
Purple, because aliens don't wear hats. (but seriously, the question is either testing whether the student has the guts to write "no answer", or badly written. I'm going with the latter). Arcadia
You can always add a negative sign in front of both numbers to make the question solvable. My oldest would probably edit the question by swapping the numbers though. He had edited typing errors before on his worksheets. My youngest would happily draw a big question mark at the answer space. Edited November 23, 2015 by Arcadia
creekland
"3. Write 3 numbers that are greater than 912 000 and less than 900 250. Write the numbers in order from least to greatest." Am I missing something? Well, thinking outside the box, I like the numbers 7, 4, and 42 greater than I like the number 912,000, but less than I'd like $900,250. 7, of course, is the number I like least of my three favorites since it's such a common favorite and 42 simply has to be the greatest of those - just because. Would that work?

Kerileanne99
Lol, how about writing three numbers greater than 912,000 AND three numbers less than 900, 250. Write all six from least to greatest:)
