Yep. One article I read even recommended checking to see if your email address is listed, even if you never signed up for AM, particularly if you have a common name (and I assume use it in your e-mail). The article said that it isn't abnormal for people to either make-up an e-mail address... or even to use one that isn't theirs, that belongs to someone they know (talk about scummy - using a friend or family member's e-mail address to have an affair!).

JD used his credit card. It appears he isn't only a scum bag - he also isn't very bright.

Somewhat related mini update -

That was my husband's comment. He asked if I checked him, said it was a good idea for fraud purposes if nothing else, and then muttered something about a few jerks from work he would have signed up if he'd known the hack would have occurred.

Cue jaw drop  He always us had a black sense of humor, and as a big system security guy if he was going to get involved in something like that he wouldn't be getting caught. It is amazing how many people put things like affair emails and child porn on work servers, though.

The main people I was concerned about weren't showing up in the data dump, thankfully. It wasn't my spouse but nice to know he wouldn't have care regardless!

I had a few people I wanted to check up on, but the link I had only allowed me to check e-mail addresses, not names, so I couldn't (because I do not have their email addresses).

Why anyone would want to defend the demonisation of LBGTIQ people in a thread devoted to JD, King of nothing but sexual hypocrisy, is beyond me.

So no, it didn't need to be said. it's blatantly obvious that JD and his church are in no position to speak about loving relationships between homosexual people at all.

albeto., I edited my previous post to say that you consider things/ideas that Christians believe to be unintelligent, irrational, illogical, immoral, and unethical and not Christians themselves. And deleted the part where I called you offensive. The rest I left as originally posted. I get your point that I had crossed the line with regard to making it personal, which was not my intent.

Fwiw, I don't mind. I am a strong advocate of free speech. I don't mind that you called me offensive. I understand that's how you feel. I'd be interested in knowing just how. If I were to guess (and that's all I can do since you don't seem to answer my questions), I would guess it's because I don't take you at your word that your beliefs are good and noble and ought to be respected in public, and you wish they were treated that way even if I don't agree. If that's the case, I can understand how that would be frustrating. As a xian, I suppose that would translate to thinking I am offensive. Ultimately, the way I see it, I'm offensive not because of any of the points I man, but because I'm a blasphemer.

I do think, though, that it is difficult to separate the person from their beliefs. If I am a member of a group which eats cupcakes and someone states that eating cupcakes is disgusting.... Well, I am pretty much going to believe that they think I am disgusting.

What I hear you saying is that because you think homosexuality is morally wrong, you think homosexuals are immoral people. If you think homosexuality is disgusting, it would follow that you think homosexuals are disgusting people. Well, you're not alone in this, but I do not subscribe to such a conclusion. However, it does explain why you accuse me of doing things that I clearly don't do. And why you can't offer any examples for these accusations, you and those who agreed with you.

ETA: I just saw you're leaving this thread.

No need to reply.

Christians do more harm in trying to police everyone's sin than in anything else we do. Can you imagine if we stopped doing that and just paid attention to our own sin? And actually loved our neighbor as we were commanded? Heck, people might actually want to be Christians... Can't have that craziness. :p

True story.

'Tis Christians who ultimately drove me away from Christianity. I did not want to be even slighlty associated with the hypocrisy. So I started actually looking at what I believed. Turns out, I don't.
