Tohru
I used to chew gum when I was younger, then I stopped and haven't chewed in at least 15 years. I bought a pack on a whim (rather than munch on pretzels that were in the car) and Wow, I can't believe how such a little stick of Doublemint could light up my day! I was happily chewing that piece of gum for 10-20 minutes while I was driving and it was so much fun to chomp and crack and make tiny bubbles! Amazing how such a little thing could make one go from a meh mood to super cheery. Just wanted to share. If you're having a bad day, maybe try gum. Spryte
DS here totally, wholeheartedly agrees with you. :)
Arcadia
I grew up on Wrigley's chewing gum. My cousins bought them and I am allowed to help myself to their stash. ETA: I hate the taste of Bubble Gum though.
Farrar
I chew gum when I need to focus or wake up a little. It's really useful. Ds has a crazy gum habit. I'm never sure if I should be letting it be or trying to break it or what. Mostly I just want him to chew with his mouth closed. :ack2: I haven't figured out how to casually let my children know they're being disgusting without them completely flipping out though, so that's an ongoing dilemma. crazyforlatin
Yup, you just kind of wrote what I usually feel after smacking zylitol gum. Bad manners I'm positive but better than constantly munching on TJ's chocolate-covered raisens.
DesertBlossom
I love gum too, but it immediately starts giving me a headache. :( Boo.
milovany
I started up again about three months ago, too. Haven't chewed for years, but my son gave me a piece of Trident Cinnamon which I took. Now I buy the three pack so I can have one in my purse, one near my work area at home, and one in the car. It's xylitol!! It's good for me! :D
Arcadia
I love gum too, but it immediately starts giving me a headache. :( Boo. Could it be the aspartame? I have to avoid aspartame in chewing gum because I get a tummy upset.
Jasperstone
I love having gum after a big meal. That way it helps add more digestive juices. :-D
