Amethyst
My dh and I have this disagreement a lot. To me they are clearly yellow. To him they are clearly green. (Of course, I'm right. ;) )
theYoungerMrsWarde
I call it chartreuse. :iagree: After having a chartreuse loving child who you DARE NOT mistake for green or yellow around, I dare not call it anything else. ;)
KungFuPanda
I was a kid in the 80s. My chartreuse crayon was purple. I am confused for life.

Whereneverever
I don't think chartreuse has ever been purple? Wasn't it named after a French liquor?
fdrinca
This is the brand we always used as kids. It's green, right?
LisaKinVA
This is the brand we always used as kids. It's green, right? This is the kind I picked up the other day...it's green, especially when placed next to my yellow bowl. Kids all say green, too.
Miss Cornelia Snook
Chartreuse was the first thought that came to mind. Since that wasn't on the poll, I said yellow.
ocelotmom
I was a kid in the 80s. My chartreuse crayon was purple. I am confused for life. I always thought of chartreuse as a purpley color as well, up until Blue's Clues informed me otherwise. I couldn't say if I was actually taught this (by crayons or otherwise) or if that's just what I thought.
foxbridgeacademy
Greenish yellow was my first thought. Then, looking at the poll options, I thought I should go with yellow but was not really happy with that because they feel more green to me :tongue_smilie: . Then I did an image search to look at with fresh eyes. There are 2 definite types of standard tennis balls (some are yellow). Then I asked dh, and without hesitation his answer was green. That feels right to me too. So we are going with green. Final answer. :D LOL i went through the same process but decided on yellow.... final answer? Then when DS was around 4-6 Blue's Clues said it was green.
Ausmumof3
Greeny yellow. After they've been around our backyard a while they are more brown and then you don't have to worry.
