...................
For ages 11 and 9 Our past favorites have been Adam of the Road, The Hobbit, The Narnia Series, Ginger Pye, Pinky Pye, Lassie Come Home, Hittite Warrior, and probably their all time favorite was the Prince and the Pauper Unabridged from me and The Lord of the Rings from DH. As you can see we like many different genres, and we don't take ourselves too seriously. And we are not above reading cute books still. We don't like anything scary or depressing. Thank you! Momof3littles
Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles My kids and I read that last year and they still talk about it. Great book. We're currently reading Swallows and Amazons, and I'm not completely ready to give up summer, apparently. We were also just on vacation at the beach, so it was a nice leadup to that. ally
We are loving Where the Mountain Meets the Moon right now with my two 11 yr olds and 13 yr olds. It is in our Sonlight Core F curriculum and is a wonderful Chinese fairy tale book that has a beautiful story line woven through.

Mom-ninja.
Winnie the Pooh. Really. I'm surprised at how much my 12 yr old is loving the book. I'm surprised at how much *I'm* enjoying the book.
