Hunter
Story of the World volume 1 has been available in a Kindle version for awhile, but the later volumes were only available as pdfs. When did volumes 2-4 become available for Kindle?
kiwik
I think number 2 was there last time I looked (a couple of months ago) but not 3 and 4. Now I just have to persuade my kids that they aren't as bad as they think. They prefer me to read the Usborne encyclopedia.

PachiSusan
I wonder if it would work as a PDF document on the computer or on my Nook. Anyone know?
Stef03
I wonder if it would work as a PDF document on the computer or on my Nook. Anyone know? It would work on your computer through the Kindle app (http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1000426311) but it won't work on your Nook as far as I know. knittingmama
If you have a Nook HD or HD+, you can just get the Kindle app from the Google play store. And then you can get all the Kindle books you want. ;)
NoPlaceLikeHome
Now they need to get the immersion experience by having the kindle versions with an audible version with whispersync for voice feature!
PachiSusan
Darnit - I'm just screwed all around. LOLOLOL. I have a plain ole Nook Color and I don't have a PC or a Kindle. Boo hoo for me.
Cmm
The Nook won't work unless you use Calibre. You don't need a PC, though. Here are some options: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=amb_link_361458882_3?ie=UTF8&docId=1000493771&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-9&pf_rd_r=1GH0P3M4G8QFE6MAMZ0R&pf_rd_t=1401&pf_rd_p=1354791522&pf_rd_i=1000426311
zoobie
I was all set to buy the PDFs. Now which to chose?
Hunter
I'm reading the Kindle version on my android phone. I have a Photon Q and they display well.
TraceyS/FL
Darnit - I'm just screwed all around. LOLOLOL. I have a plain ole Nook Color and I don't have a PC or a Kindle. Boo hoo for me. I believe there is a way to side-load the Kindle app on the color - it might involve rooting it though. The kindle Mac app is decent, I don't like reading on it, but i use it to track what i have! LOL!! I MUCH prefer kindle or epub books over PDFs, mainly because the PDFs i have experience with are set to the page size wise. That means they aren't great for smaller screens sometimes. But true ebooks have text that flows no matter the font size and screen size!! I would prefer a non-DRMd epub file over a kindle file - then I could covert it to be device independent. :D The kids get it on their kindles, I get it on my iPad.... TraceyS/FL
ANd, I see the file says that it is "unlimited" device usage - can someone that maybe bought it see if it has DRM on it? Try putting it into Calibre and converting it into something else?
threedogfarm
Thanks Hunter for letting us know. I was thinking about getting a second copy of the set of books for the kids--now I don't have to if I get the kindle version and we can all be reading at the same time (and save on bookshelf space). I was a very late and reluctant kindle user but going on vacation with one suitcase just for books finally made me rethink my stance. We just got back from vacation and I have to say--it was great to not be lugging books around anymore.
blondeviolin
Oh yay! We loved the first on kindle and I bought 2 hard cover, but really wanted Kindle!
Hunter
Some of the Stobagh books are available for Kindle now too. The SAT book is still only available for the Nook and CBD Reader apps, but the history and literature books are now available for Kindle. CBD reader Stobagh books.
