Tiramisu
LOTS of clear liquid just passed from my dragon's usual area of elimination. I have never seen this happen. It's always been solid. I'm a little freaked out.
unsinkable
Thread of the day! I hope he is OK, but the title is so funny!
Tammyla
Say what? Poor critter. Someone chime in who knows something.
Hockey Mom
This happens frequently with our older Beardie (she's 9 months). She will have liquid, along with white urate and her bowel movement. She has been seen by a herp vet recently and he says she's in perfect health. We were told that the additional liquid means they are just really well hydrated. I hope that eases your mind a bit. I will say that I haven't seen that with our new beardie baby (7 weeks old). However, "Toothless's" eliminations are all pretty tiny still (though getting larger by the week). Ravin
I found this: http://www.rioreptiles.com/poop.html Other than the clear liquid, how is the poop?
MamaJeanne
Mine has really liquidy poop when I have fed her carrots. It did throw me off the first time I saw it!
Tiramisu
Thanks, everyone. I do feel better. He/she seems fine, and poops are solid.
Jann in TX
As long as the main parts are solid it just means the beardie is well hydrated! The only time to worry is if the discharge is bloody or if it is runny for more than a few days in a row and smells even worse than normal! One of our beardies will have watery stool after he has soaked in a bath --- the other after he eats raspberries. BTW-- beardies seem to prefer watery stools to 'rock hard' ones.
