*********
A dear friend's daughter was just diagnosed as allergic to wheat, eggs, and peanuts. They're coming over tomorrow and bringing Lebanese food. I'd like to make dessert. So, ideas?
AndyJoy
I've heard great things about black bean brownies, which I have to admit I've never actually made yet. I turned up several eggless ones when I Googled it. You could serve them with fresh sliced strawberries and fresh whipped cream.
Lara in Colo
There is a website that deals with allergies---where you list what they are and they give you recipes with those excluded. Hmm let me look.
mytwomonkeys
vegan black bean brownies with dark chocolate chips. it is my favorite dessert & gets approval every time from picky people. i use this recipe. i add a little more cocoa and agave nectar (no stevia added here) :) oh. i also add unsweetened apple sauce and a little less oil. Celia
You could do an apple crisp using a gluten free flour (a favorite around here). Or pudding cups. Or ice cream cake.
Annie
This chocolate pudding is really yummy: http://m.allrecipes.com/recipe/44699/chocolate-cornstarch-pudding If you can, I would get a fresh container of corn starch, cocoa, and sugar to avoid cross contamination (I know I always just used to tap off the measuring cups after using them for flour).
