*********
Apparently, it is much less frustrating if big brother corrects your math then when Mommy does. Why it took me this long to discover that, I don't know. But apparently, correction from Zee is *wonderful*, while correction from Mommy is sigh/slump/pencil throw inducing. Who knew. Karen in CO
Indeed. I knew that too. Anybody, almost, is better than mom. Really big brothers are great for teaching math too. My ds specializes in teaching long-division and fractions. I have threatened offered to send the girls to spend the summer with their brother when they get to algebra. He promptly rescued a cat (the girls are both allergic). MY brother doesn't have a cat. :D
extendedforecast
Unfortunately, that's not the case in this house, although she is starting to open up to getting help from her big sisters every once in a while.
delaney
Hmmmm... I thought that was mentioned in the handbook they give out when you have a baby. In the section right after back talk and sassiness.
Hot Lava Mama
Hmmmm... I thought that was mentioned in the handbook they give out when you have a baby. In the section right after back talk and sassiness. Yes, page 137, third paragraph. If you have an older version of the book, it's on page 128 on the top of the page.
Desert Rat
Hmmm....That wouldn't fly in our house. But, I'm glad it works for you!
Garga
Pencil throws! Those pencil throws give me the giggles. And that's like adding oil to the flame. It is NOT a good idea to giggle at a kid frustrated with math.
