nertsmommy
I was looking at an online classifieds site and there was an ad for someone to adopt a 10 month old baby boy. His picture was included. I was wondering what your thoughts are on this? I can understand wanting to find a good home for your child, but I worry about this. QueenCat
I hope it's a joke but a horrible one. I'd report the ad. Do you have an account there, it seems you have to sign in to report ads.
Murmer
Sounds like a scam
Julie in Austin
I imagine that that is a scam of some sort.
brendag
 I can't imagine posting a classified ad for a baby. There are agencies that handle them and do background checks, interviews, etc. This sounds scary.

nertsmommy
I just checked other ads they have. They are selling dogs, monkeys, and cough syrup with codeine. I'm going to report it now.

thebarefootamazon
If it's not a joke, it's definitely not legal.
nertsmommy
I sent an email to the moderator of the ads. They had gotten other reports and traced the ip address to Tennessee. All the ads had phone numbers and addresses in Pennsylvania. He deleted the ads and blocked all related the ip address to the four ads. It's sad what people will do to scam someone. Melissa in Australia
someone in Australia listed their child on ebay (or something like that) they claimed it was a way of disciplining their child. Child protection removed the child from the family.
