SkateLeft
I'm not sure if someone else shared this already, but I just got the 2012-2013 Hewitt Homeschool catalog in the mail today, and they're field testing their new 1st grade Lightning Lit program this coming school year. We'll be able to download it free. :D Starting on August 1st, they'll release each month's material. The book outline and sample month is on the website here: First Grade Lightning Lit. It's mostly classic picture books. I'll be curious see whether it's something I can use with my 1st grader next year. I thought I'd share in case any other K/1st folks are interested. Melissa B
Thanks for this! I wasn't planning on any formal literature program for ds. But the first month is available and it looks pretty good (and it's free. :D) I think I'm going to have to try it out. Maybe we will do the first month over the summer to see how it goes. Sharilynn29
Wow, this looks awesome! My dd is starting 3rd grade, but has had no formal grammar and is behind in reading and writing. I think she's going to enjoy this. Thank you so much for sharing!
SilverMoon
That looks cute! I don't have anyone in those grades anymore, but I will in '13-'14. I'll save it for her.

HootyTooty
thanks. Looks good, the only thing I think I don't like is the font in the student books, but next to that I think this might be a great resource.
