  1. RSO is coming out with Astronomy 2 on Aug. 21st. There isn't much info out yet, but I guess they are hoping to have a supply list available next week.
  2. Just wanted to update that their website is up and running again.
  3. Sounds like a visual spatial learner. Check out this post for some ideas: http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/153797-if-you-have-a-visual-spatial-learner-which-curriculum-works-best/ This blog also has a lot of great tips: http://dancing-with-dragons.blogspot.com/2012/07/teaching-visual-spatial-learner-when.html

  7. My son prefers to learn/study history by watching documentaries, making lapbooks, and other hands on projects. A favorite around here are Homeschool in the Woods Time Travelers.
  8. I just saw that Onenote now allows users to insert videos! Thought there may be others here who would appreciate this new feature ;) This will come in handy when I'm planning for next year!
  9. Two that I have looked at are the Harmony Fine Art Geography and the Build Your Library Gr. 7. Not sure if either of those are what you are looking for.
  10. Over on Our Journey Westward, she has a blog post with a lot of math activities and links to living books, games, etc. http://ourjourneywestward.com/living-math-activities/
  11. My daughter loves her tablet and has tried a few different softwares and the one she prefers is Paint Tool SAI. She has found a number of tutorials on YouTube to follow.
  12. Just wanted to share that you can get a free download of Trail Guide to US Geography until 9/11 at Homeschool Giveaways. http://homeschoolgiveaways.com/2015/09/free-trail-guide-to-u-s-geography-15-value/
  13. I came across this tutorial today and thought it may be helpful for some folks: http://www.resilienthomeschool.com/onenote-for-homeschool/
  14. Those are great! She definitely has a talent :) Is this something that she may be interested in as a career? Maybe looking and contacting various Special Effects schools/colleges may help with ideas on how to continue to develop her skills. Douglas is one that my adult son had considered. When we spoke with them they were very helpful.
