musicianmom
It is March 14 and 85 degrees. We've had no time to acclimate gradually to higher temperatures. The pool doesn't open for another 2 1/2 months. So, I brought the kids inside to the a/c. You can reach me at blowingraspberries@charlottemason.com. Jennifer in MI
Isn't this weird? I have to admit I am loving it! My motivation is back! Things are getting done again Is it supposed to stay hot for you? We're supposed to be in the 60/70 degree range for he next ten days at least! I know we are still in for some more winter, but what a wonderful break! The kids have been in their glory outside!
thescrappyhomeschooler
I'm loving it! It's 75 degrees right now! I'm gonna go rake some leaves and get the spring clean up started!
musicianmom
The 5-day forecast is showing highs between 79-82. I like 70s fine. I start fading when it's 80s and sunny unless I'm in water. Never could take the heat even as a little kid.

stripe
What was that about spending 5 hours outside being ideal? Finally did it! A neighbor asked my kids if they were homeschooled because she "always" sees them outside "during school hours." That was a first. Should I be proud or embarrassed? By the way, it was about 4:45 pm when she asked them this.

Mimmy
68 here today! This was very good for my spring cleaning plans:001_smile: I know there will be more snow, but this warm patch will help tide us over until real spring arrives.
stripe
Maybe she forgot to set her clock forward.:D My kids do like to hang out at the corner by her house. Today they were there digging (!). I really shouldn't complain. My husband pointed out my son was there at noon.
Brindee
Ummm, 38 here today in the PNW, and it snowed all morning! We got 2 inches before it got wetter and havier, then stopped! We weren't out in shorts and tank tops today! :tongue_smilie:
Parrothead
Come visit me. We had a high of 27. That is Fahrenheit not Celsius. :D We got 2 inches of snow.

Lucy in Australia
My complaint is at the other end of the scale :) Middle of March (our autumn) and we had 41 celsius (about 105 F) on the week end. I nearly lost my mind :glare: It's cooled off now :svengo:

Parrothead
Now a few days later we are having a massive melt. I had to dig a trench for the water in the back yard to run down the side of the driveway and into the street to keep the basement from flooding. It is just melting way too fast. The fest table looks very nice too. I wish I didn't have to deal with my confounded back issues so much - it would take me a year to do all you guys did in a week!
