BatmansWife
Seriously. Only I mean a little tiny toy camel. My dd has this Egyptian set (I posted about it last week on the Curriculum board). She adores this set and plays with it for hours. The only thing she said it is missing is a camel. You can see from the picture, that it would have to be fairly small. I have searched and searched and all I can come up with is getting this set. But....I hate to pay that much for a camel (although, I realize we'd get 11 bonus animals too). But, I probably will if this request doesn't pan out. Edited March 9, 2012 by ~AprilMay~
plansrme
Do you have a Michael's? They have lots of those little plastic critters for sale individually. I've never looked for a camel, specifically, but I would be surprised if they don't have one. I've used them for various school projects, and they've had weird ones--jelly fish, for instance. Tess in the Burbs
what about those figurines they sell at Michael's? They have tons of different animals. Surely if not there then the maker online would have a camel?

We live far from mostly everything (which totally stinks!). I went to the Michael's website and typed in Camel. I bet you can guess what came up. Camel hair paint brushes. I used the store locator and the closest one to me in in MN about 1.5 hours away.....near the twin cities. Yeah...that's not gonna fly with dh. I don't, but maybe this would work? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GFHGHO/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B0014BLQAW&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1E1HR4P429MR3A17NG0T I realize they are pricy. I saw the playmobile ones on eBay. But, I couldn't judge their size very well. I think they might be too tall. Keep the ideas coming. I'm :bigear: . JudoMom
I have one that is about 1.5 inches tall. Would that work?
livingmydream
I was thinking of Michaels or AC Moore has a lot more. They are called Toobs I believe and are tubes of animals/sets in different themes. I am sure they would have an egyptian one with small camels.
livingmydream
Oh, I just saw you were far from a store bummer. Here is one! It has a camel in the photo! http://www.amazon.com/Safari-695004-LTD-Wild-Toob/dp/B000BNEOS0

Yeah, I think the Playmobil ones would be too big. They are about 4 inches or so...
livingmydream
So I looked up the Egyptian Toobs and what do you know, they don't have a camel in it at all! How odd, looks like the smallest size one would be in that safari one. Yea, the playmobile figurines are pretty big...
BatmansWife
I have one that is about 1.5 inches tall. Would that work? I think that size would work fine. I'll PM you. :001_smile:
fourcatmom
You can also search for Schleich animals. Here is a baby camel that they make. They are usually between $2 and $5.00 in the stores and you might be able to search. We have a huge IKEA bin filled with these and I can ask the girls if we have the camel. http://www.schleich-s.com/toys/wild_life/camel_foal/ Here's another one http://www.schleich-s.com/toys/wild_life_two-humped_camel/ Edited March 9, 2012 by fourcatmom
natalie
Did you find one that would work yet? We have multiples of both the ~ 1 1/2" and ~ 3/4" sizes if you are still searching.
Julie Smith
We have a lego one. Perhaps you can search lego sets.
Jan in SC
I might have a playmobil one from the Egypt set. It might be too large, though. I'll look when I get home.
Kebo
I checked, because I thought we had one of almost every animal, but no camels! Now if you want a preying mantis, piranha, tapir, pangolin or warthog, then I can help.
