Night Elf Posted February 17, 2012 Share Posted February 17, 2012 What would you recommend for a student in Algebra 1 who is really good at formulas and calculations but still has some difficulty with word problems? The problem is using the information given in word form to set up an equation. It happens often enough that we realize more practice is needed but I'm not great at coming up with explanations for how to approach these problems.
