theYoungerMrsWarde
Ingredients: 4 Tablespoons cake flour (I use regular four just fine.) 4 Tablespoons sugar 2 Tablespoons cocoa 1 Egg 3 Tablespoons milk 3 Tablespoons oil 1 Mug Instructions: Mix flour, sugar and cocoa: Spoon in 1 egg Pour in milk and oil, and mix well Put in microwave for 3 minutes on maximum power (1000watt) Wait until it stops rising and sets in the mug Tip contents out of mug onto saucer and enjoy! You can substitute 2 T of peanut butter for 2 of the 3 tablespoons of oil to make it different :001_smile: You can also substitute 3 T applesauce for the 3 T of oil to make it healthier/less calories. 4ofus
Thank you for posting this! I have never tried such as this but I just did for my boys & they loved it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top! Quick, easy, & best of all, NO LEFTOVER CAKE to scream my name for the next few days! :) My kids thank you!
Hoggirl
When the directions read to tip it out onto a saucer...what does that mean?? Is it kind of like a pudding cake?? How come you can't just eat it out of the mug? Sorry if that is a dumb question!

How come you can't just eat it out of the mug? Sorry if that is a dumb question! The consistency reminded me of a sponge cake, though I'm not sure that's quite right. It is not liquidy. J-rap
My daughter JUST made some of these last night! She got the recipes from this book of hers: http://www.amazon.com/101-Recipes-Microwave-Cakes-Single-Serving/dp/0984228500/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1326127640&sr=8-
Amy in NH
When the directions read to tip it out onto a saucer...what does that mean?? Is it kind of like a pudding cake?? How come you can't just eat it out of the mug? Sorry if that is a dumb question! I made it once. I thought the consistency was kinda gross. It was spongy, but not like sponge-cake. 4ofus
We made it last night~it was completely fun & easy. The cake was dry for us, but we added a scoop of vanilla ice cream & a dollop of ready-whip & LOVED it! No complaints AT ALL! Try it!
