Linda (Australia)
Next year, I've decided to use Lapbooking along with our study of the Middle Ages. Just wondering if anyone has used the Middle Ages Lapbook from any of these companies: Live & Learn Press Knowledge Box Central , or Hands of a Child Any opinions, comments, or suggestions? Thanks,
jplain
:bigear: I'm curious about this too.
Chris in VA
Just to add another to your mix--LOL This free one has always impressed me. It's based on SOTW 2. There are others on the same site that I love, too.
Mrs Twain
I use a lot of lapbooks, though I have not done a Middle Ages lapbook yet. All of the choices, including the one from Chris in VA, look like they would work well. Of the companies mentioned, I have only used HOAC. I have been happy with the lapbooks from HOAC. They are easy in that the research guide is included so that you don't have to hunt down information from other sources. Also, if you buy the e-book, it is very easy to print. I might get the HOAC lapbook and look at the subjects covered. If I didn't think it covered enough, I might a second lapbook and combine them. Just an idea...I am interested in hearing others' opinions who have actually used these since we will be doing a Middle Ages lapbook in the next year or so. Jay3fer
I'm going to second (third?) the recc of Alia Macrina Heise (Run of the Mill Family) - she's done a LOT of it already, and if it's anything like the SOTW1 lapbook, it's incredible. If I were you, I'd download all the pieces that are available now and others as the comes out with them, if you're planning to use it. I never trust anything posted on a blog because it can vanish at any minute. (not through any fault of hers, but if Blogger goes belly-up, well... if Blogger/Google goes belly-up, I suspect the whole world's in a LOT of trouble :-o) Still. Maus
I'll add my recommendation of the Run of the Mill one, too. We've done most of her SOTW1 lapbook, and really enjoyed it. We aren't lapbookers, really, but hers looked so appealing, we gave it a try, and it's worked well for us.
