Tabrett
We got our littles, ages 4,6 & 8, 8gb iPod touches for Christmas. I would like to load some fun games from the app store. The games do not need to be educational and I don't mind paying for the games. What are your favorites for those ages? :bigear:

I think the same apps work on both so here's a few dd 6 loves. They are mostly educational but that's just what we loaded and she prefers. Also definately search the forum because there are several recent threads with lots of ideas. Stack the states Math bingo Toontastic (this one might be iPad only) Hangman Brain pop free video of the day Latin hangman Presidents vs aliens Jungle coins
amey311
my kids like: Rush Hour Cut the rope Angry birds (I have the freebie version) Siege Hero (very similar to AB) Race Penguin Line Birds Pac-Man Geared (freebie version) Touch hockey (it's like air hockey) TanZen (tangrams) Turbo Grannies fruit ninja (freebie) They also like (but these might not be okay for your kids, so check the apps and see if that's your thing): Zombie Farm (this is sort of like Farmville and those kinds of things, but you can also grow zombies). Zombie Smash Stupid zombies (sense a theme here?) Cows versus aliens Bookworm (this might be too hard for your kids? it's a bit like boggle) Bookworm is the only thing we've paid for, i think. Thing 2 (now 8 ) played that on the Popcap.com site and was willing to pay $2.99 to play the game on my ipod. Oh wait - they sprung for the full version of Angry Birds, too, at one point. You could also consider downloading some audiobooks from the library for them.

Very cute app about an alligator who needs you to help the water get to his bathtub. Very entertaining app but makes them think about physics! Our other favorite Apps: Angry Birds Cut the Rope Balliland XL Teach Me Toddler, Kindergarten and 1st grade Word Wagon & Park Math Word Bingo & Math Bingo Rocket Math Stack the States & Countries
