Dmmetler
We took our cat into the vet this morning and DD was working on a poetics assignment while we were waiting. The technician commented "Oh, you must homeschool! That's great, Dr. W does too!"-and when the vet came in, she had a nice conversation with DD about homeschooling and about what DD was doing and what her kids do (apparently, she has older children who now can work on their own most of the time, but when her kids were DD's age, they did school in the back lounge of the clinic) and suggested that since DD likes animals, when she's a little older she might want to come back and do an internship at the clinic as part of her homeschooling. DD is walking on air :).

curlygirlzx2
How cool that your vet is a hs'er! My dd would love to intern at an animal clinic. We are currently volunteering for a cat rescue which she really enjoys. I'm trying not to bring all of the kitties home.
