dancer67
How am I going to measure 1/8 of a teaspoon???? I do not believe my cooking cups include this. Okay................running in shame now................:leaving:
Amy in NH
Most sets of cooking spoons will at least include 1/4 tsp. You could fill just 1/2 of that to get 1/8.

Kirch
Well, my measuring spoon set does include 1/8 of a teaspoon. But if I didn't have one, I'd eyeball half of 1/4 teaspoon. Chances are that with anything that small (unless you're doing a science experiment), it isn't going to make or break the recipe if you're off a tiny bit. The other option is to run to Walmart or Target and pick up a set of measuring spoons that have it. You can get some that are really inexpensive. LostSurprise
Half of the 1/4 tsp, or a few pinches.
Princess Peach
I'd just shake a bit in. :)
dancer67
LOL........Thanks............guess I should have mentioned it is not a recipe. Unless you count progesterone as one:lol: Thank you!!
Maus
Did your pharmacist not include some kind of doser? Ask them for one. Is it liquid or powder? If it's liquid, you can probably buy something at the grocery near where they sell children's cold medications, if you don't have something left over at home already. They are not accurate enough for medical use.
MamaBearMO
1/8 teaspoon is usually a good pinch - just toss some in, you should be fine!
Pretty in Pink
Call the pharmacy and ask for a syringe so that you can accurately measure the dosage. One should have come with your script. If you can't do that then you can buy them at Walmart and such, usually in the infant section near the outlet covers.

For medication you need a medication measuring spoon. your pharmacy should give you one.
littleWMN
I'm assuming it's compounded lotion? Drive through a pharmacy and they should give you a syringe for free. I wouldn't estimate hormones.
dancer67
no, this is not a script. It is the Emerita Natural Progesterone Cream that you can just get online. I was told to use 1/8tsp 2X a day. So no food measuring cup then?
songbirdie
My 1/8 tsp is a little bigger than a black-eye pea, but not quite as big as a kidney bean. Relate the size to something you know, then you won't forget how much to use, and you won't have to use a measuring spoon. :)
