happi duck
So, some new Old Navy shirts say "Lets Go!!" What happens to the kittens in this situation?! :D http://shine.yahoo.com/event/fallfashion/grammar-fail-on-old-navys-college-t-shirts-uh-oh-2531551/

Carrie12345
Well, wouldn't the opposite of dead kittens be overpopulated kittens? Old Navy seems to be in need of a good spay/neuter program.

I guffawed. I didn't even know people did that anymore (guffaw).

amo_mea_filiis.
So has anyone contacted them to let them know how terrible it is? ETA: There was an almost really cool shirt at the flea market, and I really wanted it, but couldn't. I completely forget what it said, but it was supposed to be www. something, but it was ww. something. I just couldn't buy it. ETAa: A shirt at walmart had the word alot on it. Also could have been cute. Edited August 26, 2011 by amo_mea_filiis

SunD
I would think it un-kills the kitten, and we all know what that means. Zombie kittens!

LaxMom
My husband says Old Navy is doing public service, balancing all the extra apostrophes out there... he also mentioned hearing about PETA's thank you campaign for their efforts in saving the kittens.
chepyl
Apparently, they are fixing it. That is pretty bad! We designed a t-shirt for our dance recital in May and went back and forth about the apostrophe. We needed a possesive form of a noun ending with "ss." We asked multiple English teachers, students, and checked every grammar book we owned! Both ss's and ss' came up as correct equal number of times. It was frustrating because we did NOT want to look stupid. We ended up going with the more visually appealing version. I cannot imagine letting something like "Lets Go" through! How many people did that have to get approved by to actually make it to the printer!?!?
smillard00
Due to apostrophe abuse rampant in our society, there is now a shortage of apostrophes and none were available for the making of the Old Navy shirts. So sad... ;)

RanchGirl
I found the missing apostrophe: This is also an Old Navy shirt. Unfortunately, it is my son's favorite right now so I see a lot of it!
happi duck
I found the missing apostrophe:... So it all evens out in the end!
