simka2
....just why has it taken me until now to discover Florence + the Machine? :w00t: I haven't enjoyed a group this much since I spent my teens pirateing my mom's Annie Lennox cd's. LostSurprise
I like Florence + the Machine's Buddy Holly cover on the new Buddy Holly tribute album Rave On. Peter Bjorn and John have a new album out and it's pretty good too. And if you like Fleet Foxes, you might like Dawes or Delta Spirit. The Decemberists had an album out a few months ago too. If you like the Broken Bells song, go back to Mercer's other group The Shins.
Kim in Appalachia
:001_smile: Amazon had the Lungs album for $5.00 and I had to get it. I'm still trying to get all the Radiohead albums. I've got 3 so far, so maybe it was time to try someone new. Maybe something from this album will get Paranoid Android out of my head. :D
Mrs Mungo
Other less common, alternative/indie, new-ish stuff I like that is currently on my iphone playlist. Not all of these are family friendly though, I will warn you (I'm looking at you, Bright Eyes). Arcade Fire Beirut Belle & Sebastian Bishop Allen Blind Pilot Blitzen Trapper Bonnie "Prince" Billy Brett Dennen Bright Eyes Cake Calexico Chantal Kreviazuk The Concretes Flogging Molly Frightened Rabbit Fruit Bats Griffin House Hellogoodbye Hem Jens Lekman The La's M. Ward The Magnetic Fields Modest Mouse The Mountain Goats OK Go Paola Nutini Parts & Labor Ryan Adams What made Milwaukee Famous Wilco The Decemberists had an album out a few months ago too. I still think Castaways and Cutouts was their best album.

Tap
I really like by them. I like the sound of this song, but it is so repetitive that it gets annoying. It is on the radio constantly. I leave it on and enjoy the beginning but I change the station when they get to the repetitive part...lol
