Caitilin
If your teen were going to perform in a full-text Shakespeare play, would you rather see him/her in Romeo and Juliet or Macbeth?
pqr
Depends on the role, but Macbeth would generally be my first choice.

caitlinsmom
Romeo and Juliet. But then I have a soft spot for the play...
missmoe
MacBeth, I will be seeing my son perform MacBeth this week! My two youngest daughters will also appear as a witch and a murderer.
Sebastian (a lady)
If your teen were going to perform in a full-text Shakespeare play, would you rather see him/her in Romeo and Juliet or Macbeth? I'd prefer something light that wasn't over the top bawdy. Twelfth Night is a favorite. But I've also enjoyed Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth (and disliked productions as well). Richard III is another one I love to see, but it has some tough scenes to carry off. Henry V is great, but almost all the roles are male. Slartibartfast
MacBeth.
Mrs Mungo
I voted MacBeth, but it might depend upon the casting. Could my teen dd play Mercutio? If so, I might vote R&J.
Hedgehog
It depends what role, really. But I'd prefer to see mine act in a more light-hearted comedy.
mommymilkies
I'm partial to Romeo & Juliet. I performed as Juliet in 6th grade.
Caitilin
We have a significant female to male imbalance in our available cast, which makes me want to lean toward Macbeth, as it has more female characters. Also, the hs group as a whole is pretty conservative, and won't want a bawdy production--and I am not willing to bowdlerize Shakespeare! Thus, I tend toward MB myself.
