BeckyFL
I get email from focus on the family.... this one is sooo funny! Now you can be sure your pet is cared for! A colleague sent me a note the other day, more of a joke than anything, about a business that promises to take care of your pet after the Rapture. But it's no joke. It's a real for-profit enterprise. The company, Eternal Earth Bound Pets, USA, was started by a consortium of atheists. From their website: "Q: Is this a joke? A: No. This is a serious offer to our Christian friends who believe in the Second Coming and honestly care about the future of their pets after the Rapture occurs." They charge $110 per house and promise to place your animal with those left behind. They claim it's "The next best thing to pet salvation in a Post Rapture World." I just thought it was so funny.... people who plan to be left behind (or I guess preying on what they feel are false beliefs) taking care of pets left behind. LOL Wow! They follow with an article that discusses whether pets do go to heaven if anyone want to read it. http://www.focusonlinecommunities.com/blogs/Finding_Home/2010/11/09/do-pets-go-to-heaven

mommaduck
I've seen that site before, it's real, and a crack up! I no longer believe in the rapture and think it's funny how people can be about their pets like that.

lionfamily1999
How disturbing. I hope no one actually takes them up on the offer.

Daisy
Yeah, I'm not a huge believer in the rapture either. To clarify, I do believe in the second coming of Christ, just not necessarily in a rapture of the church. I think it is hilarious. I can't imagine anyone taking it seriously. Mimm
Wow, brilliant business model. They take the money in return for doing nothing (since they don't actually believe the rapture will happen). Why don't I ever think of things like this? :)
