Bow and arrow

Recommended Posts

Well, it depends on how serious you are and if you want compound or recurve. But I would strongly recommend a Diamond Razor if your boys are going to learn to hunt. This will last them, all the way into adulthood. If you are looking for more of a toy set...then I don't have any experience there.

If you don't have any luck, you can always make them out of PVC. If you google it, you'll find instructions.

We have them, and their fun!

Hmm.. my suggestion seems a little goofy now. :)

This one could work for your youngest if he feels left out.

I'd like to get my boys a bow and arrow set each as gifts.

Anyone have a set you really like and recommend or a set you don't?

And here you thought you were asking an innocuous question, not realizing you were going to set off a "war" between those who think "pulleys" have a place on a "bow" and those who know otherwise :D

We purchased a bow from these folks: http://www.woodbows.com/

We bought it off Amazon and got free shipping and my dd13 is very happy with it. Arrows we buy from a local sporting goods/bow shop.

They are real bows though and not play things. If you are looking for that I would suggest http://www.hearthsong.com/Young-Archers-Set_p28.html or this: http://www.backtobasicstoys.com/item/productid/8050/txt/Child-Safe_Archery_Set

HTH!
