NanceXToo
where my remote control is? We've been looking everywhere for it and we can't find it. I'm sure my almost 5 y/o had it last but he has no clue where it is and I've been tearing the living room apart looking for it with no luck. Any ideas? :P
Jean in Newcastle
Ours always end up in the crevices under the armchair or sofa seats.
LauraGB
Is it IN the couch? I mean, below the cushions - into the darkness that the fabric holds up (between the bottom and the bottom). I have had to cut that fabric on one end and physically tip the couch to the side to shake things loose. I've actually located a lost (and replaced :glare:) phone by doing that. Cinder
Ours is either under the couch or in that cranny down between the side of the couch and the bottom where the cushions are laid. I don't know what else to call that place but a lot of stuff slides down there. Good luck! Cinder
NanceXToo
Oh, my oldest daughter just found it! It was on a bookcase. I mean, of course, where else would a remote control be! I don't know why I didn't think of that! </sarcasm> lol. Thanks for the help (the couch crevices, behind the couch and under the couch was one of the first places I looked, but apparently my kid can't misplace a remote control in a normal place)! :D
Cinder
Lol! We never find it when it's where it's supposed to be! Of course, since it's always on the floor (or under or in the couch) maybe THAT's where it's supposed to be. Glad you found it. Jayne J
Hmm. Glad you found it. I was going to suggest our 2 favorite places to lose the remote--the refrigerator or the top of the TV. See--your kids aren't the only ones who can lose things in odd places...;)
LibraryLover
I'd like to help, but I still stand to switch channels. :tongue_smilie: Which is insane. I found my car keys in my underwear drawer once. So...maybe?
Chelle in MO
When ours was missing, it was found in the toilet. :tongue_smilie: Yes, we had a little one then!
NanceXToo
OK the refrigerator is pretty bad- the toilet is way worse- thank goodness for bookcases, I suppose! lol

I have heard my husband yell from the first floor to the third floor for one of the kids to come down and hand him the remote control if he forgets to grab it before he sits in his recliner. Seriously, I'm not even kidding. Fortunately, not often. But it has been known to happen lol.
happyhomemaker25
What is so funny is that when I was in HS I had a friend call me exasperated. Her mother wanted her to call all of her friends and ask them if we took home their remote control. She was so embarassed! We laugh about it today though. Granny_Weatherwax
It ran away with my car keys. If they show up at your house would you tell my keys to come home?
Jean in Newcastle
It ran away with my car keys. If they show up at your house would you tell my keys to come home? In that case they probably enlisted my house keys to come too. Of course they were last seen in the hands of my kids but no search of their rooms or pockets are coming up with them. Good thing I have a garage opener in the car!
NanceXToo
It ran away with my car keys. If they show up at your house would you tell my keys to come home? Yes, I will. Unless they're hiding with that one sock- you know, the one that leaves the pair, never to be seen again? In that case, I just won't be able to help you. I would hope that your keys have more respect for you than that, though!
cajunrose
I was going to suggest the cupboard or the freezer...i have found mine in both of those places many times.
