LOF pre-algebra with Biology for SCIENCE???

Would you consider life of fred pre-algebra with Biology enough for a 7th grade science class?

I'm thinking of dropping the Apologia General we had planned for 7th (concern about her readiness), and using LOF Pre-algebra I and II to give her extra math help and knock out science at the same time.

What do you think?

I think if you added experiments and additional biology reading (living books?), maybe some videos too, it might work. LOF Pre-algebra 1 on its own wouldn't be enough, IMO, for a year of biology instruction.

Great for math, great for science reinforcement - but as an actual science course for a year? No way, no how.

My dd just finished this over the summer. It's got some cool stuff, but it's not a full science course.

No, I like what's there, but I wouldn't even consider it to be the equivalent of a 5th or 6th grade science course.

Yeah - I agree with everyone else - it isn't even close to a 7th grade science curriculum. We are using it for 7th grade math this year as well - and I haven't even bothered taking the science in LoF into consideration. We are doing Singapore this year. While DS will like the biology stuff - it only scratches the surface.
