cracked eggs?

I just found out that six or so of my eggs, were cracked on their bottoms and leaking egg white into the carton. I bought the eggs last week. It had to have happened either at the store, or in the bag on the way home.

 

Can I hard boil them? Would they be okay then? Or do I need to throw them out?

If you hardboil them, you will loose a lot of the egg out of the bottom.

But yes, I would use them in scrambled eggs or baking or something where they will be thoroughly cooked.

I would throw them out! I do toss them when I find them cracked. I truly do not feel they are safe.

Throw them out, they've had way to much time to be exposed to all sorts of interesting bacteria that you don't want to get :).

Toss 'em! You don't know what's been growing in there, or for how long.

If they were from my hens (sometimes, don't ask me why, they stand up as they lay, or they are running about, do a quick squat and take off again), I wouldn't have any concerns and would cook them well. If they were store -bought, I would take them back for an exchange.
