We'll be doing SOTW 2 next year, so I want YOUR top FIVE picks for great read-alouds to go along with it. This will be for a 4th grader and 2nd grader. Also, I'll take your suggestions for supplemental books my rising 4th grader could read on his own. He reads at a junior high level, though I prefer age appropriate content. Thanks! Read the table of contents to your kids and see what events, people or specific time periods they have the most interest in. We're just starting "The Door in the Wall". We also have "Fire Bed and Bone" and "the Whipping Boy" coming up but we haven't read these yet.
