Enchanted Learning Website

Hi all! I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with the Enchanted Learning website http://www.enchantedlearning.com/Home.html . If so, is it worth the $20 a year to join? I have 4.5 year old twins I'm going homeschool next year.

Enchanted Learning is the only educational website I have ever paid to join and I have gotten a ton of stuff from them over the years. I think it is well worth the $20.00

I got it for my DD starting at age 4, and found that it was great to get good materials for her to find out about topics that interested her in a child-safe way (she's an early reader). We kind of use it like a child Wikipedia, where it lets her look up topics and read about them, and then go from there into new areas.

I think it's worth the $20. That said, I would keep forgetting I had the membership and only used it once! My membership just expired last week. I won't renew it until I decide that I will really use it.

Today, in fact, I just printed out info on plant and animal cells along with worksheets to label the parts of each cell. We haven't used it in a few months, but we have been subscribers for 4 years now. We don't use it as much as we used to though.

I use it constantly! Especially when there is any type of holiday. I printed off a ton of things for Groundhog Day.

 

We are doing American History, and when we studies Columbus, I printed off quite a bit from the Columbus Day activities. My dc love animals, and there are your basic coloring pages for littles, but more specific ones also that give info/classification, etc... Also, they have a lot of pages on foreign languages also, so we do those for Spanish review.

 

Well worth it-especially the younger years.

I am not sure about 5th grade material. I think it is mostly for preK-2. I may be wrong. I used it alot for my dd when we were doing FIAR.

I love this site. I have access through the Mothers Day Out program I work at but will be paying for my own account next year when I no longer am working. I use it quite often for maps and lapbook activities.

We use it a lot for 2nd grade and pre-K. I find lots of fun things to print out for lapbooks for my 2nd grader. And there are loads and loads of printouts for the pre-K and K set, little fun books, coloring, etc.
