Riverfront Headmistress
Weird title, I know. How do I go about weighing my chihuahua puppy? He doesn't register on the scale, even when I weigh myself, then weigh myself holding him. Dh joked that I could sneak him into the produce department and stick him on a fruit scale. Any ideas? Tree House Academy
Do you have a postal scale (or meat scale although that may be a bit gross) that weighs in ounces? If so, I'd use that.
In The Great White North
That triple-beam scale you were going to buy for chemistry? :D (I actually have a kitchen scale for European recipes that would work well.)
hornblower
kitchen scale, postal scale or just pop into the vet. My vet will let you come in to weigh anytime for free though it helps if you call ahead & make sure they aren't swamped.... usually they can tell you when it's a quiet time. Melissa in Australia
you hold the dog, and stand on your own scales, then put the dog down and stand on the scales, take the second measurement away from the first, and walla! you have the dogs weight. unsinkable
He obviously weighs nothing. Just like air. I was gonna say a food scale, too.
Stacie
My post office has an area that isn't locked at night. The postal scale is there too. Every time I had to mail something or check the PO box after hours, I brought my 3 lb, 4 oz purse puppy. She thought it was such a treat to go get weighed at the PO. Second only to the hamburger joint that gave her a huge (for her, anyway) bone at the drive through window. Maybe your PO has a similar setup.
