MIch elle
This series was recommended in today's paper. I'm thinking about this as a summer read for my 12yob. TIA! :D
Laura Corin
Not great literature, but a fun summer read. James Bond for kids. Laura
Beth in Central TX
Elegantlion recommended this series, and my older boys read them last year. I didn't pre-read them, but I did look through the first one & asked my discerning oldest son what he thought; I found nothing objectionable. Both of my sons really liked the series and read every book that our library carried. HTH!

Jennifer in MI
My boys loved these books too! I read the first one and they've read all of them. There's a movie of one of them too. My boys said it wasn't as good as the book (but really, when is a movie as good as the book?).

Obi-Mom Kenobi
He was 13 when he read them and blew through them all in days. The earlier responder hit the nail on the head: James Bond for kids.

My ds and I read them for school last year. I snuck them into the bedroom to finish as he was upset I was reading ahead. He had that option too. Someday I'd love to write a geography curriculum around the series, maybe. My latest book obsession is Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I blew through them in five days and am currently on book 3 with my ds.

I ordered Stormbreaker on EL's recommendation.........read it in 2 days, and promptly ordered the rest of the series from amazon. My DS has read all of them as well....and my DH......and my DD. :D We're BIG Alex Rider fans here! Oh, and Percy Jackson fans too.
