ElizabethB Posted May 20, 2009 Share Posted May 20, 2009 We have a plastic turtle toy we got at a garage sale. It plays 3 songs, Mary had a Little Lamb, London Bridge is Falling Down, and ? We've asked every friend and family member who's visited for the last 3 years, and no one has been able to come up with a tune for the song yet. I googled the brand and the word turtle and song and various other combinations, no luck. If you want to try to figure it out, here it is (followed by London Bridge so you can see how it works, it has some counter-melody!) We're normally anti noise making toys, but this one is actually in a fairly nice register and isn't as loud as it seems in the movie. He's one of the few baby toys we still have. While it's a small thing in the big scheme of things (especially compared to bangs and the big bang question!), I would really like to know what the song is, we've heard it thousands of times and every time it plays I think about it. We've had it for years, it's had new batteries several times. That's what it's supposed to sound like. You would think with 2 classics like "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and "London Bridge" that someone would be able to figure out the 3rd song, but we've had no luck so far. The catch is that it only matches up with the first and third lines of the verse (not the chorus) from that. Try listening to the turtle movie and looking at these lyrics and see if you agree that the lines with the stars sound like the turtle's song. * 'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, * Just to take Him at His word; * Just to rest upon His promise; * Just to know, Thus saith the Lord.
