Happy Halloween 🎃 We got a little over 2 inches of snow last night. It is pretty, not sure if it will be staying around or melting. We stopped handing out candy during covid and haven't started back up. Won't hand out this year. There are so many halloween events around here that kids are attending 4+ events the past week so door to door has really dropped in numbers. Mailed a couple bills, I wish these last 2 companies would do payment options other than check and mail. ordered a box of checks, I only use them for the 2 companies so they last a long time. Person who bought an item switched pick up to tomorrow work on pup trying a new harness, she wants to chew it vs wear it. Good Afternoon Made 2 apple strudel using puff pastry worked out good both ds liked it I've noticed a sick looking squirrel in the yard the past couple days sent a photo of it to the wildlife person in the area. I was concerned it would be mange and if the pup would get it, and if they wanted to rehab it. The wildlife person said it was squirrel pox and nothing can cure it and it is not contagious. When I went back outside to see where it went it had passed, poor thing. Well now we all know what squirrel pox is. Time training pup, working on the leash and walking. It's funny how pups can be so "brave" and then when a new thing is introduced be so scared. Yesterday she overcame her initial fear of the rake when she helped rake the leaves. She isn't barking at the vacuum anymore and just ignores it so that is great. Make a list of do now and to do. Find my house fall list that has all the chores to do before snow. bring in all the shepherds hooks from flowers I asked a friend of mine who is a master gardener about if I should cut back my plants cause we had a drought all summer. She suggested not to. So glad that chore is a no go this year. But will be an extra clean up in the spring.

Jennifer Elise has a youtube channel and her main thing is vintage patterns and sewing. She lists where she even buys patterns so if she isn't interested she could probably refer you to the warehouses that she buys from.

I'm glad cause I have chores outside to do before it snows. dishes going, laundry going, Need to keep that going all day Yard work putting shepherds hooks and sprinklers etc away for season time with pup outside to wear off energy measure couch and doorways find ceiling lights and panels for basement ceiling, getting rid of fluorescent lights and getting recessed lights bake apple tarts using phyllo dough. I have never used before so its an experiment carve pumpkins

Not ready for it.

Good Evening Had early Dr apt and blood work to check vit D levels raked and raked to get acorns out of puppy play yard so she wont eat them drove around looking at the final glimpse of fall colors Dh locked himself out so came back to let him in measuring a huge couch my parents had and figuring which doors it will fit through to get rid of it. Ds suggested taking it apart cuz its so big and heavy try to figure out how to replace ceiling light in basement. It has a raised ceiling panels.

Finally got the outside puppy play yard set up. Now try to figure out how to get rid of all the acorns. All she wants to do is eat acorns. The group I volunteer for is having a lot of say we shall people issues. The person that I am closest to is leaving because of it after 16 years. The fall season seems so short in length. So many tasks to complete before the snow begins falling. They are hinting that we may get some on Friday, hope not I am not ready. Cleaned the birdbath, need to wrap it up, touch up painted the plaster deer . The squirrels chew on the ears and legs. Need to cover them up with the tarp. We had such a drought this season that I am not sure about cutting back some of the flowers, or if that would stress them out more. Need to cut back the hostas I have about 100 of those so will need help.

Can I ask those that tutor online are you all independent contractors or what is it 1099 employees? DS has been looking into different jobs and was asking about this. I'm just familiar with building contractors and how they are bonded and licensed. I don't know how tutors do that. If you know of a link with info I would appreciate it, Thanks.
