Whoo-hoo! Wordle 455 2/6 ⬜🟨⬜⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

I am so happy that you have found something that works for you! Question: do you think what you are doing would work for fainting and not just stumbling? My DD is a chronic fainter; she's currently fainting multiple (like 5-10) times a day. We had gotten it under control, but it's flaring pretty bad right now. Would learning "how to fall" or "lessen the consequences of the fall" work if she's unconscious for those first few seconds?

I probably wouldn't have gotten it except my DD said without realizing I was still working on my Wordle, "I don't even know what that word means..." It stopped me from guessing common words.

We have a Street Road as well - it's "Main" Street in town, and it becomes "Main" Street Road at the edge of town.

Ha! I used the word as a wordle guess in the last week or so - it was really close to the actual guess. So today, I was like, totally not this word, but it'll just rattle around in your head if you don't use it up. Wordle 452 3/6 ⬜🟨⬜⬜🟩 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

Yep, DH and I really thought about putting an offer on a house a few years back. I would've hated living on Be-Ver-Kreek Road (beaver creek) - ugh, having to spell that monstrosity, hyphens and all, every time you give out your address. While the name of the road was a strike against it, we decided against it for other reasons. DH refuses to look at houses on Hurlbut (named after someone in the Civil War) here in town. Apparently, there is a whole town (population 305) called Hurlbut in Illinois; I don't think DH would appreciate that since he doesn't even like it as a street name.

Great haul! I miss my local bread outlet; it closed and never reopened during the pandemic. Although since Youngest is gluten free now, I don't know how often I would use it. I bought my first Christmas present this morning. I work at a library, and they are having their quarterly booksale starting today. I didn't feel right snagging the books prior to the sale when I was setting up (although other people do it), so I got there at 9 am when they opened and bought a bag full of Stephen King hardbacks for $10 total. SK is middle DD's guilty pleasure.

I was baptized as an infant in a Methodist church. My parents left that denomination shortly after I was born, and I was raised Pentecostal Charismatic. We attended that church until I went away to boarding school. DH was raised Baptist. We chose a non-denominational evangelical church after we got married. I stopped going about 4-5 years ago and no longer consider myself a Christian. DH is still a Christian, but is not currently attending any church.

If your teens don't want to go to church
historically accurate replied to Storygirl's topic in The Chat Board
We are no longer a church attending family, but we were, and we did not require attendance past about age 12. I was required to attend as a youth (until I went to boarding school at age 15), and DH was required to attend until he was 20 because he still lived at home. I no longer consider myself a Christian; DH still does. DH has not returned to church following covid, but I stopped attending a couple of years prior. Oldest did not attend past age 12, middle and youngest did til covid. I think DH and Youngest may return at some point. -

German for HS Credit
historically accurate replied to old's topic in High School and Self-Education Board
DD2 did German 2 & 3 through CLRC (she did German 1 at our local co-op, but then covid hit). She loved it, but they don't offer level 4. We did have some issues with them switching teachers on her multiple times over the two years. I think it's the same teacher she had last year for this year though, so it was probably just our bad luck (she had a teacher leave to take care of ailing parents, etc). She switched to Arabic at CLRC this year, which she also loves so far.
