  1. I am mostly vegan, the rest are vegetarian but I have been thinking of adding some chicken & fish into their diet. I am stuck in a rut which is why I am looking for more healthy ideas and variety. Thanks again everyone for the recipes and links!

  6. Once our children are 18 and graduated from our homeschool they don't have any set chores such as dishes, laundry and so on. They are expected to help out when they are available though and to clean up after themselves. They don't have a curfew but they are expected to call if they are going to be out very late ie: after 1 am or whatever. Our house rules on drinking, sex, drugs, church etc stand and they are expected to adhere to them or they are free to move out. We don't charge then room and board as long as they are enrolled/going to college.
  7. We start the last week of August, which is when my college students start. It's easier to keep everyone on somewhat the same schedule.

I don't consider what we do rigorous but here is my 6th grader's typical day: Bible with everyone Chalkdust Basic Math-watch DVD & 25ish problems per day R&S English 6-1 lesson IEW Medieval Writing-works throughout the week on 1 lesson SWR-M and W Apologia General Science-reads a few pages, answer any OYO and do the experiments. Right now he is doing a module per week. TOG-he reads core Th & does map, In Depth F, Lit S/S, M & T, M answers SAP pages and T answers lit pages. Wed discussion Henle-one lesson per day M-Th, per Memoria Press Guide
  10. I don't know of many colleges that require more than 3 units of history for acceptance?
  11. I recieved two census forms. One a week or so ago ago, which I filled out and returned, and another one today. Weird.

  14. We don't do lap books or many crafts. You can pick and choose what you want to do.

  16. If you do this how hard is to keep up with getting the books etc? What do you do if the b ook you need is checked out? Honestly, how much of a pain is it to do this? If you had the $ would you purchase the books rather than library?
  17. I am planning a wall timeline but the area I have is a bit too short. So I was thinking of having it continue through a corner onto the next wall. What do you think?
