Taking a mental health break for a few weeks. I'll be back in a bit.

I would REALLY like to rejoin my "club," the bible believing Christian one. It's been weeks! Anyone know how to do that?

Free theater tickets and dinner! Woohoo, a date!

How I love Quizlet. Thank you, teachers and students who make these study sets!

Horrible Geography is the latest winner from that series in this household. "Mom, did you know the Caspian Sea is not a sea at all but an inland lake?"

You could check out Edith Nesbit's stuff. Of hers, we liked Five Children and It and The Enchanted Castle. We also read some of the Half Magic books (they are more modern). I like George MacDonald's stuff like The Golden Key, The Light Princess, etc. Also the Chronicles of Prydain were well liked by my DS11. I am trying to find more options for him. Maybe we should start a thread?? LOL.

So bummed. My grandma passed away this morning (long battle with dimensia, so a blessing in a way, but I'm still sad). To make matters worse, the funeral will be on the day of the Renaissance Festival. Kids have been working on their costumes for weeks. :(

Well, the apocalypse is upon us. My kids *begged* to start school early yesterday. So we started school today and they did their work cheerfully. Maybe they were abducted by aliens? Or that Stepford Wives thing is happening? This is just terrifying!

Phone spam is boring. Where are my Koreans?

I just unbound and three hole punched LFC Primer A's Activity Book. I guess that means I am committed to using it now?

I'm a mom of a wonderful little boy who is 6, and we are new to the homeschooling adventure. We live in a small community that is rife with heroin overdoses and parents who don't care about their kids, so the pool from which to find quality friends for my little man is rapidly drying up. We are looking at Classical Conversations as a supplemental program, and I would be most grateful for any helpful information anyone can provide. Thank you!

No, DS9, Sudden Onset Math-Induced Fatigue is not an actual condition.

Can I just say how much I love the boards? You guys can answer a question faster than I could ever research on my own, and I get the benefit of lots of different perspectives to give me things to think about that I would never have come up with on my own. Thanks Board!
