    I have taken the drastic measure of not only separating my lovely children, but warning them I'm about to finish the Christmas shopping, so they'd better stay separated. Yup. I've resorted to (implied) threats. It's that kind of day. Need more coffee.

      Ha. I kicked everyone out of the house and cracked open a Jubelale. Too light this year, girly even, but it still might do the trick. Going on a rum run later, but it was pre-planned (really) with an eye to Christmas Eve buttered rums.

    I'm so suggestible. Browsing through Cyber Monday sales, I see a "gourmet melon knife," "cuts thick rind on melon, like a hot knife through butter." Suddenly I've always wanted one. Then I start thinking, isn't cutting through a melon with a sharp knife always like cutting through butter? All shopping tabs now closed.

      Amazon is close to convincing me that I need a panini press. I'll try to follow your example and hold firm.

      I just use a cast iron bacon press and a grill pan... though if you don't have a grill pan, I can see the appeal :P

    It's been a field trippy week: mummies (second visit), swimming and exploring at Lewisville Regional Park, penny arcade this afternoon, tide pools at the coast tomorrow. I don't want summer to end.

      Definitely one of the better traveling exhibits I've seen at OMSI. Usually I grumble about having to pay the premium entry. :P
