  1. can you tell me how much weight a verbal agreement carry in a court of law. If you loaned a person money on a short term basis that was supposed to be paid back within a few months and it was over a year later, would a verbal agreement hold up in court.
  2. does anyone have this screen protector on their Ipad 2? http://www.amazon.com/Moshi-iVisor-Screen-Protector-99MO020908/dp/B004UQ05M8/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top It gets very high review on Amazon.
  3. I would like to add some casseroles to my recipes to stretch the meat. I have Ree's Chicken Spaghetti in the oven now! Anyone have other recipes to stretch either chicken or beef?
  4. I bought a screen protector for my Ipad from Amazon. It is a Power Support HD Non Glare? I think I am sending it back. I might possibly buy the Power Support Crystal Clear one. I have a white Ipad and I think the non glare one will look weird. But, I am leaning towards not getting any screen protector. I have done alot of checking online. Alot of people have opted to using a cleaner and microfiber cloth instead. I bought the Monster cleaner and cloth made specifically for the Ipad. I also read that Apple has removed all screen protectors for all Apple products out of their stores, that they were really not necessary. I really like the look and feel of the screen without the protector. I am afraid it will lose clarity and feel too different without the screen protector. Any thoughts on this?
  5. my 9 month and 20 month granddaughters just received one (one to share, not each one) for an early Christmas present from their other grandmother. I think that is a way too young, but would possibly let a 9 yo buy one. It is alot of money. I just bought one to use during school and have a hard time when my 8 yo uses it.
  6. what is the name of this app, is it Chore Pad. I'm assuming its for the Ipad.
  7. I was at the grocery store today. I buy Velvetta on a regular basis. I use it in my mac and cheese and also grilled cheese. My dh likes it with his eggs. I was absolutely shocked at the price! then I started looking at the other cheese and the same thing. Six months ago I could get Velvetta for $4.50 and the store brand for $3.68 (this is what I usually bought). About three months ago, Velvetta rose to $4.98 and the store brand $3.98. Today, Velvetta $6.28, store brand $5.07. Completely shocked! The shredded and the sliced cheese rose quite a bit too.
  8. there was a piece on the local news last week that this will be happening more and more.
  9. I have been looking for a great spaghetti sauce recipe. Could you please, please post yours.
  10. would you use this for 4x6 prints or more for bigger sizes. I have never heard of metallic paper. Could you explain what it is?
  11. when my dd was 15 she decided she might be interested in nursing and volunteered at a local hospital. She did go on to nursing school and became an RN. Before she got married this past spring and moving to Montana, she worked at one of the few children's rehabilitation hospitals in the country. They had volunteers also. I would definitely have her volunteer in a medical environment. Maybe some hospitals would let her shadow a nurse, not sure but thought I would throw that out there.
  12. I will be getting the cd of my dd's wedding from the photographer this week. I want to make alot of 4x6 prints. I have ordered from Shutterfly in the past and been satisfied with them. I couple of people have told me they prefer Snapfish. Any opinions?
  13. I am interested in your favorite Ipad apps. They could be anything, cooking, educational, organizing, really anything. I found an old thread and downloaded alot of math apps that were listed. I really want to find some phonics or reading comp apps for my 2nd grader. Please list any app you like and find useful.
  14. wow, didn't know I could download PDF into the Kindle app. Now, off to figure out how to do it.
  15. I am going to download my educational PDF files (MM answer key, teachers book for Elemental History and WWS sample) on my Ipad. I bought the app goodreader because of the good reviews here. Is this the preferred app for this, as opposed to downloading them in ibooks?
  16. is anyone else's tomtoes not getting red. We have tons of tomatoes on our plants, but they are not getting red. We usually start getting red tomatoes around July 4th.
  17. We live on a dead end street with three houses on each side of the street. We had a wonderful mailman. A few years ago they reassigned him. During this time, we would constantly get each other's mail. We soon learned that it was not the worse thing. My next door neighbor found our electric bill in his bushes that were between his house and ours. I had put a couple of letters out for the mailman to take. At 8:00 that night, my neighbor on the other side rang our doorbell. He found these letters in the middle of the street! I complained quite frequently but never felt they took it seriously. Then, our wonderful mailman returned. The problems ended. He retired last month. The problems have started again!
  18. thanks, found it, and am in the process of typing in all my contacts!
  19. I was the one who started the post the ChrissySC linked too. She was a big help. I bought an Ipad on Saturday and LOVE it!
  20. How do you put addresses in it. It calls for name, phone number, and iPhone number. I don't see a place for the address.
  21. Does anyone have a favorite app for an address book for an iPad. I want to be able to put in the name, address and phone number of friends and family.
  22. I have a few good menus that I use alot and work well with company. I usually stick to these few menus. In the summer for dessert, we make homemade ice cream with either a quick cobbler or berries over the ice cream. My menus are: 1. Lil' Chedder meatloaves, mashed potatoes with cheese, green beans with bacon and rolls. Sometimes I make baked apples to go with this. 2. I have a recipe for a good pot roast for the crockpot that uses a few mixes with water. It makes a good gravy that goes over the meat. I usually fix buttered egg noodles and the gravy is good with those also. 3. Lasagna 4. Garlic Beef Enchiladas - these can be made ahead of time and then cooked. We had these this past weekend with company that really enjoyed them.
  23. my ds is buying a new car. He mentioned today that he might lease instead of buying. I know nothing about leasing. I thought I read awhile back that leasing is not a good idea. Anyone have experience with leasing instead of buying?
