  1. I wish he'd use mnemonics, but I can't for the life of me get him to ;-) I love the monkeys chart too!
  2. Never thought of the 2's. That might be a great way to help memorize for him. I'll try anything at this point!
  3. We're at multi step math problems now, long dividing for example. DS can do each step individually but can't seem to remember the "next" step to do. Any ideas other than to just continue practicing ?
  4. Thanks Harriet and Madteaparty for your reviews!
  5. Thanks so much Lori! I appreciate all the details ;-)
  6. We're looking for a lit and writing curriculum for DS. He's had plenty of grammar, but not real lit analysis. He has high functioning autism, and fine motor control issues. So I don't want the writing portion to be too long for him to complete. So what did you like or not like about Lightning Lit? Have you used it with any kids with special needs? Thanks :-)
  7. I found it under downloads on their website. https://www.bereanbuilders.com/mkt/res/nb/9780989042406nb.pdf Hope that helps
  8. I order customized items all the time, I just ordered a decal in blue by sending a convo because the sample was in white, and it really was cute, but white wouldn't work for me. And from a seller perspective, I wouldn't mind at all if someone asked to change a few things on an item I made (if it was something I could actually do). I don't think anyone would be offended.
  9. We're paying $130 every 3 weeks, but we negotiated :-) And I agreed to schedule out till the end of the year. I think when you commit to a long term plan, you will get a slighter cheeper rate. Oh and she brings all the cleaning supplies, but uses our vacuum.
  10. We use the Alba acne line of products here. Also what made the biggest difference for us was a powered cleansing brush. I know some are really expensive but you can find ones that aren't. Having an brush that rotated really allowed for a better clean, and removing all the dead cells.
  11. This is me exactly! Only the sublingual at 3mg works. Any swallowed pill type doesn't do anything. I take mine about an hour before I want to be asleep.
  12. Was it directly through the OverDrive website? or through a library website? When I download titles with OverDrive from our library, I download to the computer so we can use the large screen, but I know that I have to choose if I want it in Kindle (mobi) format or the Adobe format (iPad). I had to return a few books and then re-check them out to get them in the right format ;)
  13. We've had good luck with Canon models, and I always buy the generic ink.... it does get used up more quickly, but the cost is so much cheaper it is worth it.
  14. Love the Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle conditioner here too. We use amazon's subscribe service for many things, it works well.
  15. We love the expedex book cases and since the openings are so large even over sized books fit on the shelves :) Also I have I think 5 of this blue rolling bins full of books for later use. They also stack on each other, if you buy the lids. So one of our closets has them stacked up against a wall. If you're already going to ikea take a peak at them too. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80098516/
  16. We use them in a workbox system and love it. The large bins will hold a 3ring binder, but its slanted in the large bin, so not flat and not a good use of space. I have only found a couple of books that wouldn't fit into their bin. So over all I think its great for daily use.
  17. We school year round, and change grades over the summer, so if someone asked me in Aug/Sept I would give the new grade. But really it hasn't come up much for us :)
