need recipes that use a lot of eggs
Juniper replied to ProudGrandma's topic in General Education Discussion Board
I want that recipe! :) -
A question for those who sell online. What are some other avenues for selling handmade items online? I am trying to brainstorm with my mother for her fiber art. She has the gallery and is starting an Etsy site, but what else is there that net good results?

Isn't this a double standard?? (cc)
Juniper replied to hsmom23's topic in General Education Discussion Board
I asked dh about this once a few months back. Did it bother him? He playfully toyed with me a moment, pretended to act like I would (early in our marriage) if I caught him admiring a beautiful woman then He just kinda snorted! :D I guess he isn't threatened by men in skirts! ;) I have no problem with my dh admiring beauty. Like another poster I am equally likely to point out a stunning women. -

Hee hee! I am so giddy right now. It has the original oil can with it! I am in cheesy domestic love. I am even in love with the hideous formica sewing table! -
Sewing people: See what dh got me!

Well, first I am just going to play with stitches and feet. I do have a really simple shirt that has been waiting for me since my cheapo bit the dust. After that I am going to be trying my hand some bright, fun, gypsy type wrap skirts. :D I have been waiting for awhile for a new machine so I probably have way to much planned! -

Dang it! I think I fixed it. ;) -
He knew I wanted an old vintage Singer. I had been watching craigslist for months waiting for the right one. Well it turned out a woman in his building is being relocated. Her family had this wonderful tradition of buying newborn girls an awesome sewing machine that would stay with them throughout their life. Her mother was the last child this was done for. So it has only been owned by her and her mother. Beautifully kept and running perfectly!!! This is one just like it, but I got more accesories. :D .....and it was in it's original table! Happy Mother's Day!

My mother owns a fiber art gallery, in a beautiful historic city. Last night there was huge fire destroying 3 neighboring buildings. Even though she escaped the flames by one building, she has a ton of smoke damage. Smoke and fiber do not mix!!!! She has been through a lot in recent years. There was a flood above her space when a drunk person fell asleep in the shower, and then she was stabbed a couple years ago. This is just one more stressful situation. I would really appreciate your prayers for all those who are going to struggle as a result of this fire. http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/region_northern_az/prescott/firefighters-battling-blaze-on-whiskey-row-in-prescott

 Where did you guys get that from what Bluegoat posted? I am so confused. Ooops! My multi-quote didn't work. I meant to include the post above yours Ipsey. :) I am not saying there aren't Christians who think that way, but from what I have come to know of BG, she is far from that camp ;) Who knows, I could be wrong though!!!

Considering public school - really bummed.
Juniper replied to FortWorthCookes's topic in General Education Discussion Board
:iagree: I am going to put forth a few more considerations. Please know this comes from someone who recently allowed her kids to go back to ps only to pull them out a couple months later. Do you know the school situation? What happens if dd is miserable? What about the viruses and bacteria that will be coming home with dd? I had premie twins, and this would have been a huge issue with me! My dd recently contracted MRSA at her school. :glare: How will dd feel? She is already going to adapt to two new siblings, will she see them as forcing her to go to school, when the others get to stay home? What benefits are their to her being a helper? IS she going to learn things many kids never have a chance to learn? One thing I would suggest is looking into a very gentle form of homeschooling. Pick up A Charlotte Mason Companion and possibly adjust towards a more CM rather than classical focus. (They are not mutually exclusive.) Twins are fun! If you want to you can do this. I know it is hard to believe that sending a child to ps could be more work for you, but it is true. You will suddenly have to jump to someone else's tune, accommodate their schedule. Enjoy them! -
Well, it was a really big wasp! If my driveway wasn't 1/2 a mile of open pasture, I really think I would have just run home nude! :D

Farm/small animal people...

In the warm season, I scrub water buckets weekly at minimum. I do toss in AC or electrolytes on occasion, but it really does not slow the rate of growth. -

We just put similar shaped and colored rocks in the all the nesting boxes. Works ike a charm. Even if I know one is accidentaly broken I will go through and add rocks as a precaution. -
What do you know about Azure Standard?
Juniper replied to Alte Veste Academy's topic in General Education Discussion Board
I did have a what I consider a bad experience and came really close to leaving the company. It is a little difficult to explain if you are not totally familiar with how Azure Standard works. Here is what happened: You have a route manager that covers an entire region of the US. For me I am in contact with this Azure Standard employee via an Azure Standard FB group. One morning I was sipping my coffee perusing my FB and I see a meesage in my News feed from the AS route group. It was an invitiation to join the route manager at a nutrition conference hosted by Douglas Wilson and his ministry.:001_huh: I was very thrown by the fact that a paid employee of AS was "inviting" those of us on the route, to a conference like this. Since it was done under the name of AS I could not tell if this was the employees views alone, or representative of some unknown connection between AS and Douglas Wilson. I did contact the route manager with a request that my groceries please be kept seperate from specific religous affiliations. I also put a call in to the CEO of the company. (Obviously this is a big deal to me and I did not want to be supporting DW in any way.) The CEO was very nice, he told me he was completely unfamiliar with who DW was. His employee had posted what she did without permission from the company. Next week my order was delivered. The truck drivers just happen to be the son and DIL of the route manager. We were treated so rude!!! I had been concerned about backlash from the family, but was really shocked by how petty it was. At one point my drop manager leans over and says, "Why is that girl (the DIL) just staring at you?!" I stayed with the company for a couple reasons. 1. The CEO reassurance that there was not a connection. And 2. The drivers switched routes and we got a new driver. I regularly buy what other has mentioned: Bulk (beans, peas, flour, herbs and spices, raisins) and fruits and veggies. Oh, and I buy seeds for the garden. -
I want to put in a lot of shelves around the house. Up towards the ceilings, that might wrap around corners. How would you do this inexpensively? I need to store books, art supplies, fiber stash, and my canned goods. :001_smile:

Me too!

We do not rush the healing or reconcilation process in our home. ;) Like in the evolution thread, I see "sun set" as a more discriptive than literal. Like: Letting the sun set on this opportunity, relationship, or job.
