  1. I was thinking a Christmas program. I actually have a different opinion for each. Christmas program....I wouldn't mind a mention. Christmas party....It would irk me. Our youth leader reminds the teen girls to dress modestly even for church service and regular gatherings. Some of them show up with lots of cleavage showing.
  2. My brother has the theme to Benny Hill. It cracks me up every time I hear it.
  3. I should have listed them as mini-lights. We always called them twinkle lights even though they didn't twinkle. I probably should have asked about LEDs, too.
  4. I used to use twinkle lights but have switched back to the C7 lights from my childhood. Poll coming...
  5. I use a cpap and the medical supply company that brought it out said to use distilled water because it prolongs the life of your machine. I'm not sure if there are any health implications from using tap water in a cpap.
  6. Really? I can't think of anything harsher than the inside of a car. Surely, you're not supposed to bring the car seat in every time you get home.
  7. Has he seen this documentary? http://www.underourskin.com/
  8. Do you have a doctor that specializes in Lyme? I know of one just north of Indianapolis. Her family was affected by it. She takes it very seriously and treats it as a real disease. I can pm you her website address if you'd like. My husband convinced himself that he didn't really have Lyme although his symptoms improved immensely after being on antibiotics for a couple of months. He's never been all the way back to normal and has been 'relapsing' on and off for the last year. Unfortunately, he doesn't see the Lyme doctor anymore.
  9. I'll definitely be praying! My DH was diagnosed with Lyme disease and had a very short lived phase where his eyesight would go in and out in his left eye. It was about a year ago and lasted a few days and hasn't returned. Hopefully, the same will hold true for your son. They're now thinking dh may have MS....but who knows?
  10. This is what I was worried about. I'm not sure I understand this. DS came up with the idea that autism was something that can be cured. I corrected him on that. Thank you for the book list. We got together Saturday night and I ended up telling her what DS said. She was commenting on how she loved seeing her son engaged in imaginative play with my son. I then told her my DS had noticed a difference and told her what he said. I truly think she was happy to hear it. We do talk/text on a regular basis and I felt comfortable sharing with her. Thank you all so much for the input.
  11. My husband's stepsister has a high functioning autistic child. We've known her for about 8 years and she's been dh's stepsister for about 4. She originally had chosen to not medicate her child but he had started becoming violent and with a heavy heart she decided to take him to a psychiatrist and he is now on meds. My 10 year old son (who is the same age as the autistic child) knows he's autistic but doesn't fully understand what that means. The last time we saw them, my son asked on the way home if his autism was getting better. DS sort of viewed it as an illness that could be cured. To me, this shows that the meds have had a positive effect. She was torn on medicating him and I thought that my son's comments might be comforting but then again I'm afraid they might be taken another way. Would you mention this to her?
  12. I would ask for the bag back and offer to pay return shipping before giving a refund. ETA: Are sellers even allowed to give negative feedback to buyers anymore?
  13. This sounds very likely to me unless she took your cash and didn't order your cards.

  15. People are crazy! I wonder what he put in them. Hopefully there are no copycat cases.
  16. It sounds like something the majority of people could benefit from, including me. It reminds me of a line from one of my favorite Avett Brothers songs.
  17. A digital picture frame loaded with lots of family photos.
  18. Today has been particularly bad around here. There's been lots and lots of bickering.
  19. I'm new to this board but there's another forum I visited for years and I liked it when old threads popped-up. It was kind of like looking through a memory book.
