We have both...we like both for all the reasons already mentioned. (And, propane is NOT expensive -- at least not here. It's probably the cheapest way to heat right now.) One thought on the wood option: do you already have a chimney? If so, has it been inspected and deemed safe to use? Is your homeowner's insurance OK with a wood stove? (some are -- some aren't....)

We just enrolled our second child at the local community college. The State of Maine allows high school Juniors and Seniors to take 2 classes each year TUITION WAIVED. (The student pays course fees and for books.) When we were looking over the course listing it was a "mixed bag" -- there were many classes maxed out with a waiting list. There were other classes that were being cancelled due to low enrollment. They were prioritizing matriculated students over non-matriculated students.

What is GPB? :iagree:-- Physics is mostly math. If your daughter struggles with Algebra and hasn't been introduced to some Trig (sine, cosine, tangent and vectors), it may be the reason your daughter is struggling.

Has the vet checked the dog over for a yeast infection of the skin? (My MIL's little dog was super oily and super smelly...turned out to be a yeast infection.) It is easily curable...a special anti-fungal shampoo did the trick. ;)

Perhaps you should take a different "tone" with those of us that have differing opinions.

We bought new Samsung front-loaders a few years ago. We have used them both un-stacked and stacked. I think I prefer stacked and I'm about 5'3". If we went back to using them un-stacked, I would purchase the pedestals/drawers to get them up off the floor a little.

All the above-the-stove microwaves that we have looked at have a built in exhaust fan. ;)

I have an older home (built in 1908). I *love* my farmer's sink!! :) We replaced the electric stove that came with the house w/ an electric glasstop about a year ago. I *HATE* it...we are now looking to go with propane. I have my eye on a Samsung Stainless propane stove we saw at Lowe's. We went with BJU. I showed the different styles to the kids and let them decide. It was unanimous...even amongst the children that had previously learned D'Nealian in the PS.

Here one doesn't have to sign...you step up to the table, state your name, the nice lady checks you off and hands you a ballot. *BUT* you do have to show ID to register -- which is how your name got on the list in the first place. (If you're not registered on Election Day, you must see the Voter Registrar, prove identity/citizenship and fill out the Registration Card before you can vote.)
