So the experience is very different here. Yes, knowing how to cite is important. I believe WWS covers it very thoroughly. It goes without saying that you should be able to cite sources for your essay. Here even Honors English requires no more than 3 papers a semester. And freshmen are only allowed APHUG, the easiest AP anybody could take. Yes it has writing, but it is in no way overwhelming. Math/science/foreign language doesn’t have any paper requirements, and electives allowed in 9th are more fun ones (digital music….).

Having known kids at a supposedly highly ranked high school with straight A's, I wouldn't worry at all. I would make sure she can write an essay. If you find WWS a good fit, stay the course and just add in a resource on writing essays. Mine is entering high school next year as well. I am not concerned at all.

only the quality at a CC is not the same. At least I hope it’s not the same as UCs. I can honestly say with whatever little we dabbed in this, we sacrificed quality for a paper. I know that given the lack of standardized tests, the paper matters more. But in short you get what you pay for. To the OP - if a class is listed in their catalogue, I can’t imagine them not taking it. You are very lucky with your PS given their flexibility.

In your case, I would wait for Novavax.

Oh boy. This process is terrifying.

Has anybody seen info on what are Moderna and Pfizer production capacities per month or a year?

Now I am intrigued. Can you at least share a state? I have loved living in western NC. Want to go back there badly.

I overheard Maxwell also has some deal similar to what Cosby had. What does that mean for her prosecution? And does this case help Weinstein case in any way?

Not all, but most.

I follow this one as well. Can’t stand Facebook ones. They are dominated by owners and whatever ideology they are pushing. Group think. Agree or get out. -

I forgot about private schools. 🤦🏻♀️ I bet it’s all for the likes of Pomona. -

Weird. Why would they only go after UCs? -

They should do what UCs and k-12 do - require vaccination and open classrooms. This isn’t what our high school looks like. 😞 I just don’t know how much longer this can go on. If by some miracle my kid gets a good score on this test, I might push him to apply early just so we can get a real classroom. -

What percentage of courses are in person at your local community college? Ours has virtually nothing in person. I want to start a campaign calling the chancellor’s office. Something. It’s insane. -

So the entire state must be full of exceptionally gifted young people. 🤣🙄 I suspect thought people might be trying for out of state schools that are generous with aid for kids with certain scores. Like BAMA. I am so grateful to you for letting me know it was open. It’s shocking to be that in less than half a day almost all seats were gone. Nothing locally either. I wonder if there is the same insane rush in other states or it’s only because we haven’t been able to test since this pandemic started unlike other places. -

I don’t know what that is, but in short, I am surprised at this situation.
