  1. Yes we have been. All the years we have rented I have never paid over $400 a month actually. I guess it just depends on where you live I guess. Now that there are so many looking for affordable homes to rent the low prices are no where to be seen.
  2. Now see I would pay $1300 a month for what you are getting in a heart beat. Gated community with pool and tennis sounds awesome! But sadly we will not get that here not for that.
  3. My biggest thing I guess it that I pay $400 (it just raised to $400, was $350) plus all utilities, water, trash, etc. I have been paying for all the up keep also. But we have been in this house for over 7 years now. It is a small house 2 bedroom, but a huge yard and a 2 car detached garage. I have been spoiled in not having to pay much for rent. We live in a small quiet town, but that comes with a nice price tag in itself. Also being far from anything is also not so cheap. I guess if we end up moving I just have to suck it up and pay what they want. Still pouting though.
  4. Not really, but the being closer to his work really helps in the winter. Right now we are in Saratoga and as it sits we are almost 3 hours from his work and that is on non winter type days. This last week it took him over 5 hours to get there since the roads were closing and horrible.
  5. It is near Casper. All the towns here are driving up prices. I dare not to even look at Jackson Hole.
  6. Wow, I wish I found one that did that. Every place I have moved into I have to clean it again and shampoo carpets and such before moving in. I have never had one do that.
  7. I did look at that, the prices for an apartment in the town we are looking at is $800 for a studio and up to $2000 for a 2 bedroom. No pets, no yard, street parking, and all the wonderful things they like to throw in. Also all are you pay utilities.
  8. We are looking to move to be closer to his work, the house we are in the landloard just doesn't want to fix and the electrical is iffy, being closer to a town will help us cut cost in the way of gas and such. BUT my problem is people think we are all super wealthy. I mean I cannot afford $1000-$3000 a month for a home that requires me to pay utilities also. This is just so frustrating. Why do people have rent prices so high? Who can really afford these prices? We are just not at a point we are ready to buy a home yet so we are stuck renting, but at this rate we are stuck in our home that is not great at all.
  9. I went to the king arthur site and found a few for the pullman pans. I have also had wonderful luck with regular recipes in my pullman pan.
  10. Never hand them money. Actually I did once I take that back. There was a couple with a baby on an off ramp who ran out of gas. But other than that I don't. I usually go grab a burger, fries and a drink and hand it to them. Everyone so far has been very thankful and went and sat down an ate. Most signs I see are will work for food, hungry and cold, anything helps signs. So if they say hungry I give food, if they are out there in the middle of winter in a thin shirt I will give them an extra sweatshirt or coat in my truck. I had one guy so thankful he kissed my arm and called me an angel. He said I was the only one who stopped that day and he was very thankful. I figure it makes me feel better. Also most of the people I have seen I don't see again. Now there are a few I see often, so I don't stop but the rest I try to help. Also I never really know the truth of what they are going through, but in my simple mind I made a little difference that day.
  11. Our schools here have it. Now usually they only enforce it during sexual harassment and extreme bullying situations. (I guess part of being in a small town they pick and choose when they use it) Now when my oldest was in kindergarten he was being bullied on the bus by a sixth grader. My son only 5 at the time got tired of being tripped, punched, pinched and called names he hit this older kid and my son was kicked off the bus for the whole year. The older kid nothing happened to him. They said my 5 yr old was a bully. ((yeah this kid was 45-50 lbs soaking wet.lol)) I will never understand school policies and how they think.
  12. Thank you for that. I will note those times and try them to get better readings. I was thinking that was a way wacky number. Next time I will test again.
  13. When testing I wait about 4 hours after eating sometimes I still get in the mid 70's, or when fasting I get in the mid 70's it really doesn't matter much. Now my higher levels are less then 4 hours after eating.
  14. It was 3 hours after eating mid day when I hit that 166. He told me to test after eating, before, and many different times during the day. So, that one was a non fasting. I was thinking my numbers were perfectly normal also. I will have him do a A1C. Thank you for the suggestion.
  15. I went to the dr end of last month he did a blood sugar test on me and said it was 79. Also that he was worried it was so low. But doing some online reading that tends to fall in the normal range. Or am I reading wrong. Well he has me checking it off and on. The highest I have been is 166 the lowest being 76. Usually it stays in the high 70's to the low 90's. Only once was it up high. So my question is, is this a normal range? What is considered low and what is considered high? Thank you for any help.
  16. I recently bought a pullman off of Amazon. I love it since I don't have to grease it or anything. The bread doesn't stick at all! Just pops right out no mess at all. It is a USA pan 13x4x4 perfect size. ETA: I got this to store the bread in and I am 100% satisfied I did. The bread stays super soft and fresh way longer than any other storage container I have found.
  17. Expecting what you ordered and getting to the bottom of it is not going to make you the crazy mom. I would show up at the school and talk to the principal and state I know it is only $10 but it is the point behind it. If the PTO cannot handle simple orders and phone calls then it is time for someone else to handle it.
  18. The recipe calls for 3 TBSP of potato flour, the store here doesn't carry this. Can I use oat flour instead? If not what should I use?
  19. Thank you. That is exactly what I was looking for!
  20. I know this is not the best description ever but this is why I remember from it. She may or may not have been a homeschooling mom (possibly), she made tons and tons of stuff homemade, her and her daughters made up some dvds to help others make stuff like candles, bread, etc. , is is a widower (her husband died suddenly a few years ago without warning. I know a horrible thing for me to remember). I do know it is not Crystal at the family homestead. (even though I do love Crystal's site I go there often, but I wanted to revisit the other one. Just my memory is not working this morning.) Anyone know who I am talking about????? Thank you for the help.
  21. Wyoming has no state tax, no sales tax on food and sales tax on everything else is 6%. Not sure what yearly property taxes are, but I have never heard anyone complain. Tax on our vehicles varies on how much it is worth of course. So, like my 2003 Toyota Tundra runs me a little over a hundred each year to license. Which too me is not too bad. It may be to others. I hear everyone talk about school tax when I lived in Arkansas was the only time I ever got a bill in the mail to pay for ps tax. Here you don't have that. I think another thing you need to consider is price of living, while taxes are low here we tend to pay more for things like food and such. But for me it is totally worth it.
  22. I have a KA pro 600. But I am not against having to do it by hand.
