  1. You're describing my next door neighbors -- except she's 31 and he's 17. and their new baby arrived in August! (and I'd SERIOUSLY rather have HoneyBooBoo et al as neighbors than these crazies)
  2. Please help me find an online subscription/software program for grades 1-4 logic/analogies/thinking skills/etc. I'm on amazon finding all sorts of good logic skills books but the books are so short usually (like 40 pages or so). I want tons of practice so either I need a humongo book or software/subscription. I want something with thinking skills, puzzles, analogies, ..... anything that develops thinking/reasoning/problem solving/logic/etc. Is there such?
  3. I need some advice on where to stay at Walt Disney World. We're going early February. We want to stay on-site. Kids age 7 & 9. Where have you stayed that you liked/didn't like and why? Thanks!
  4. Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters. If you have one, do you like it? We're thinking about getting one in our house (we're building now), but our builder says that he's heard mixed reviews. If you have one, what are your thoughts? Would you do it again? Do you have to wait long for the hot water? Is it truly continuous hot water? Can one person shower, another bathe, while dishwasher or washing machine is running without affecting the hot water for the shower/bathing persons?
  5. (belated) Thanks to all of you. It was dreambox (wasn't so wild a guess after all, LisBeth :) ), but I'm looking into the other ones mentioned here also!
  6. Belated thanks to you all. It was dreambox(mommyagain)! But I'm also looking into the other ones mentioned here.
  7. I heard about an online website that is a math program for elementary (maybe K through 8?). It is a subscription. Perhaps pricey. Supposed to give feedback on where kid is weak. Seems like it was a complete math program. Perhaps often used in schools. Any thoughts? It's been like 2 years since I heard of it so I can't recall.

  9. I don't like french door because if I have something bulky/big I can't use one hand to open both doors to get it in. I have to set it down open both doors then proceed. I bought the Kenmore Elite all -frig but I wish I'd have known about whirlpool's all frig (seedling's post up there) as the reviews of the Kenmore aren't quite as good. I've only had mine 4 months and so far it's been nice. I love the space. I'll cross my fingers that it won't go out prematurely like some of the other reviewers' did.
  10. Absolutely! Let's not resurrect this again! You guys enjoy a happy upcoming school year!!!!
  11. Ugh oh......Anthony Weiner's signed in under your name! (couldn't resist :D )
  12. Oh WOW! I JUST now (August 8, 2013 11:57am CST) finished reading the 33 pages of the "cupcake" thread. Back when I wrote my vent, I had originally only read two or three pages and went days/weeks before getting back on here so I missed all the fun it provided. (I didn't get off because of the replies; I just do that with the forum in general). I had NO idea it had become so popular. My cupcakes were hurting after reading all of it, and I teared up at many of the hilarious entries. (I really loved the ‘Can you do cupcakes in a crockpot?')! Thanks for the suggestion that I deserve a t-shirt for the fun you all had with my thread! Hmm.....what should it say, "Cupcakes Happen" or have two big cupcakes on my chest area and below it'll read, "Yes, they're real!" or, "Not only is life a Cupcake, but it has puppies." And, I guess I should only wear it should we ever have a Hiveapalooza / reunion. The FUNNY thing is that on Saturday, Aug 10th we'll be celebrating that same nephew's birthday and DOUBTLESS there will be cupcakes served....and they'll most likely will be leftovers from that previous day (Friday) when his mom's broken-the-same-'no-homemade-baked-goods'-at-the-public-school rule and taken them to the school yet AGAIN!!! ............so it's come FULL circle!!! But, the best thing is that you guys helped me just LAUGH it off and have armed me with MUCH jocularity over the whole kerfuffle! When the cupcakes are passed my way, I have NO doubt that I'll clear out my formerly over-crowded "craw" and fill it up with them! I'll try to get a pic of them and post it of these, the (2nd generation) cupcakes that spawn all of this!!!
